the door

So... weddings are all about the Bride,,, and groom, or are they?

Just think for a moment of how many people are involved in a wedding.

There can be literally hundreds of people involved in the smallest of weddings, putting aside for a moment your closest family and friends, all of the support staff have to contribute to ensure the day is special.

I have never met a wedding cake maker who does not want to give you exactly what you want and more, or a florist who will not choose the most perfect of flowers for the day, neither have I have ever met a wedding photographer who does not want to get the best photos of you at your wedding.
In truth you should feel relaxed in knowing that everyone is trying their best.

Their best however sometimes may come up to what you expect. In the case of photography I work alongside professional photographers weekly, I'd even go so far as saying nearly each and every day.

On a daily basis I'm also in contact with many award winning photographers, but only a very small percentage would make good wedding photographers.

You will find that many of your guests will now have good digital cameras, which are capable of taking good quality digital photos, so you may think it's pointless employing a professional.

A professional photographer may seem way to expensive for someone who just clicks a button on a big camera, after all the 'in vogue' thing to have at the moment is the more candid type photos, you know the ones, they are normally the ones where a young child is seen misbehaving or where someone is captured giving someone a hug. whilst this type of photograph needs to be captured, the ones of real value are of the couple, their close family friends and all of the well wishers.
Whilst formal photographs don't have to be solemn, they have their place to play in every wedding, they are the memory holders for years to come.
They will give comfort, and hold their magic for ever;  as everyone, for just a few special moments is joined together for the couple.

Over the years these photographs will only get better.
